Who We Are

Citizens Caring for the Future (CCFF) brings together Southeastern New Mexico community members who support protecting our air, water and public health and safety during the current oil and gas boom in the Permian.Citizens Caring for the Future has worked hard to advocate for things such as strong methane regulations on a state and national level, produced water regulation that will better protect our communities, and we have been leaders in calling for putting an end to new oil and gas leasing on public lands. In addition, we love where we live and want to bring the Permian into the national spotlight as a place full of opportunities for meaningful mitigation of emissions that will not only have a direct effect on our own health and wellbeing, but also on the health and wellbeing of the world over. We work to bring together folks from all walks of life in order to create a world that is safe and livable for all human beings, but also for the generations that will come after us.
